Ten pieces of wood are assembled with internal dowels and hold a coin within one chamber.

The trick is that one of the dowels is shorter than the others. If you hold the puzzle upside-down and jiggle it, the shorter peg will fall inside the block to the left of the penny and you will be able to twist the block kitty-corner to the penny.
